Member information

Members are required to submit their username, email address, and optionally their real name, affiliation, and other social information while becoming a member using our online application form, which is stored in our database and is available to the profile page at the member’s area for the member to modify anytime with the exception to the user email address. OOFEM forum also stores data how members use the site (ratings, last visit etc.). Your stored personal information and order information are displayed on your account page once you become a member.

Access logs

OOFEM.org stores standard access logs of all visits to the site. This includes access time, IP address, and browser information.

Cookies

OOFEM.org uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your computer. They make it possible to manage your account information, and to better serve you when you visit the website. In order to keep the forums running well and to prevent problems, please follow these simple rules for the forums here. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact us.

  • While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
  • Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
  • Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum, email, visitor messages, blog comments, picture comments and private message systems to spam other members.
  • Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.
  • Read up before asking! Use the search function before posting. Chances are your question has already been answered.
  • Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
