Topic: Stress Analysis of Pressure Vessels

Hello,

I'd like to use OOFEM to develop an application to perform stress analyses of pressure vessels subjected to various loading conditions.  Does anyone have any relevant examples they could share?  I'm new to OOFEM and am still working my way through the documentation.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
we have made a few analyses of pressure vessels in oofem, both in 2D (axisymmetric) and in full 3D. Unfortunately, I could not provide directly the input files, as they refer to real geometry and real structure and this is under confidentiality agreement. But feel free to ask any questions.
In general, I would strongly suggest to create the geometric model of vessel in T3D or Salome, because then you are able to apply boundary conditions and loadings on the model level, instead of manual and error prone application by hand on individual nodes and elements.
