Topic: coupled transport mechanical analysis

I want to use a standard 3D continuum approach to describe the interaction of a fluid pressure and mechanical problem.
For the fluid pressure distribution, I use the tm module. I am not so much interested in the effect of the mechanical analysis on the fluid flow, but mainly how the fluid pressure affects the mechanical response.

For the mechanical model, I would like to use the interaction load. I read through the online manual, but do not understand the input for the interaction load. Does it work only for PFEMParticles? What is the reference to edges? Is it only working for a 2D problem? Why are the ndofs in this context needed? Any help would be appreciated.
