Topic: a little trouble on eigen value analysis

Hello everyone.Recently, I am reasearching on the intrinsic frequency(also called eigenvalues).And I need the help of OOFEM.Luckily,I used the elements of LTRSpace and LSpace in the EigenValueDynamic. And I get the result.However, when I tried the ekements of linquad3dplanestress, I can not get the intrinsic frequency,but get the result like 1.#QNAN000e+000 .

Eigen Values (Omega^2) are:
-----------------
1.#QNAN000e+000 -1.#IND0000e+000 1.#QNAN000e+000 -1.#IND0000e+000 1.#QNAN000e+000

Hi,

thanks for reporting that. It seems to me that there is a bug in the linquad3dplanestress element, but I am not sure yet.
Meanwhile, you can solve your problem using 2d plane stress elements as is done in the attached file.
