Topic: Is plastic strain always positive?

I just noticed that in method "giveRealStressVector_3d" of tutorial material, the elastic strai is calculated as:

auto trialElastStrain = strain - status->givePlasticStrain();

If plastic strain is always positive, in cases that we have negative strain, isn't this line making the plastic strains to be added to strain instead of being subtracted?

It is fine, the plastic strain can be negative.
