Topic: A problem with two elements

hi bp,
I want to analysis a structure  both with LSpace element(3d eight - node finite element) and rershell element, but I don't know how to create the input data files with this two domain. Would you give me some help? Do you have any example about it? Thanks.

Hi,

please find attached an example of clamped beam modeled using shell elements (left part) and 3D elements (right part), loaded by two forces in the middle. It also illustrates the use of rigid arms to connect shells and 3D elements together.  A small picture with geometry is also attached.

You may choose any domain you want  - it just sets the default number of DOFs per node. But this can be overloaded for each individual node.
